With a new year just beginning, we human beings become inspired to set goals to achieve throughout the year. Taking the concept and creating the steps to achieve that goal is a different game altogether. Keeping a balance between personal goals, career goals, and health goals is tricky, like walking on a tight rope. One key concept is KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid. Having a plan can help keep that simplicity.

Personal Goals and Health Goals:

Whether being more mindful, meditating more, or exploring your spiritual growth, any one of these practices can bring more peace to your life. Having healthy coping practices during stressful times is a goal always worth exploring; therapy can help you discover what healthy coping looks like. Exercise and healthy eating habits will also increase your sense of wellbeing. Start slow and small: little workouts or walks, light weightlifting, or yoga for short periods. 20-30 minutes of daily activity can increase your energy throughout the day and activate those endorphins to help make you enjoy the experience.

Hot Tip: Schedule this time for yourself. Hold yourself accountable for staying on track, it takes 30 days to build a habit

Career Goals:

What are three goals that you can set for yourself? Target sales, or clients added to your sphere, or is it learning a new skill? Take those goals and break them down into easy to manage steps. An action plan. If increasing sales is your goal, how do you get there? Learning more about your products or services, becoming comfortable with talking to new people about those products or services, and learning from a mentor are actionable steps. Adding more clients to your sphere? Where do you network and with whom? What are activities that you can enjoy doing while meeting people? People are everywhere, you just need to find what you enjoy doing and get out there. Learning a new skill? Being self-taught can only get you so far. Finding experts to talk to and learn from will get you further.

So make those plans, take those baby steps, and let's see what we can accomplish!
