Sanity Savers During the Holiday Season

Year after year, stress is at an all-time high once the holidays drift closer and closer. Gatherings with families, friends and colleagues are inevitable. There are many strategies used to survive the holidays, here are a set to help you THRIVE this holiday season.
1. Plan ahead as much in advance as possible. Set up an evite invitation to events that you are hosting. You can keep track of guest count, catering, seating arrangements and more through an event planning app, like Cadense-Event Experiences or Attendee Mobile.
2. Use a calendar app like Google Calendar to see your schedule easily. Color coding is a great way to keep track of different tasks.
3. Leave early in case of traffic. Plan to leave an extra 25-35 minutes early. In our area, winter brings many visitors to the Tucson area, as well as the part-time residents. Leaving early ensures a less stressful drive.
4. If you are planning to make something for your gathering that is a new recipe, I suggest doing a test run a day or two ahead of time. Any adjustments can be made before serving your masterpiece.
5. Buy any ingredients that you can one to two weeks ahead of time. That also goes for buying wine or other beverages. Lines get so much longer the closer the holidays get.
I hope this holiday season is a merry one to you and yours. May we all have warm gatherings and tidings of good cheer.
